Allyson Felix
Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. She was the daughter of Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and the mother of her child Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix showed a flair for sports early, and discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After just 10 weeks of her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meters race at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix was signed to a career in professional sports with Adidas in 2003. She later enrolled in University of Southern California to learn about elementary education. The following year, Felix won her very first Olympic medal during the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece breaking an all-time junior world record running 200 meters in 22.18 seconds. She was the youngest winner of the 200 meter during the World Championships in Helsinki in 2005. She defended her title the following year, defeating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
